Choosing the right SKATE!

What skate should I choose?

Before we go into what skate...Let's see what this image is.

BENDER

Here at BENDERNATION, we call this BENDER.  I'll go into detail down below on why.  STAY TUNED

Adults - Pick a stiffer boot as your weight will be a lot more than a children's starting out hockey.  The reason is that you want the boot to be able to support your whole feet and become one with your foot.

Kids - Depending on skill level and what you the parent decide to buy, the kids are relatively younger and are growing by the year, a cost effective way is to get medium stiffness of boot/skate.  As they get older, you can invest in a much stiffer boot/skate for them.

The reason why you don't want them to be a BENDER and having their skates look like this is because:

Ideally, you'll want to maintain the most Neutral ANKLE position at all times no matter which edge you're on.
Here are some live images of skaters maintaining a neutral ankle.
There you have it.  By choosing the right and tight enough skate, you'll be flying in no time!
